Review from True West Mag for Bandita Bonita and Billy the Kid, The Scourge of New Mexico

Bear with me....I'm waiting for the magazine to come in so I can scan it in for my readers. But here is the review for the second book in the Bandita Series;

           Bandita Bonita and Billy the Kid, The Scourge of New Mexico

Available at: Amazon and Barnes and Noble (eBook and Print) and independent bookstores.

Author Website: Nicole Maddalo Dixon

If you're a true western fan who appreciates History taking precedent over fiction, this is the book for you. Written with sarcastic undertones, not truly to be mistaken for the "speak" of the day, the series is a bit of a dark horse for contemporary audiences to appreciate. Considered a Bio-Novel by myself, the author, those with a sense of humor ought to acknowledge the humorous temperament right off. While it's a legitimate read,  you can't go into it with a serious disposition if you want to allow the story to have fun with you.
                                       ---Nicole Maddalo Dixon

Romancing the Kid, Part II

"Picking up shortly after the end of the Lincoln County War, Nicole Maddalo Dixon's sequel to Bandita Bonita: Romancing Billy the Kid continues the story of Lucy Howard, the fictional female character of the Regulators, and her complicated romance with Billy the Kid. Though Bandita Bonito and Billy the Kid: The Scourge of New Mexico will appeal to women more than men, the attention to historical detail is impressive. From appearances by Jesse Evans to Dr. Henry Hoyt, historical purists should be immensely entertained by the number of real characters the author manages to weave into the narrative, itself written in the flowery and somewhat verbose prose of the 1880's. * New Mexico author Nicole Maddalo Dixon's use of historical detail makes Romancing Billy the Kid, the second volume in her Bandita Bonita series, an action-packed novel that the Kid's fans will truly appreciate."
